Development of modular unmanned platform for various industrial applications

1Challenge
The client needed to create a modular unmanned platform that could be adapted for various applications - from monitoring and inspection to cargo transport. Requirements included easy module exchange (sensors, cameras, cargo spaces), stable flight even in adverse conditions, long battery life, and ability to expand with additional features. Compatibility with various control systems was also important.
2Solution
We designed a modular frame construction with universal connection system for various modules. We implemented a robust flight controller with support for various sensors and cameras. The design included optimized aerodynamics for efficient flight and ability to switch between different configurations (quadcopter, hexacopter). We created a rapid battery exchange system and modular power system. We also integrated a system for automatic landing and emergency situations.
3Results
The platform was able to carry up to 8 kg of useful load with flight endurance up to 45 minutes. The modular system allowed rapid transformation between different configurations within minutes. The platform was successfully tested in various applications including infrastructure inspection, agricultural monitoring, and small cargo transport. The client deployed several units into commercial operation.
